Cathy brings business acumen, brand management, and style to the Blue Sky Recruitment team. She joins us following more than 20 years working in the fashion industry.

For the past 6 years, Cathy has been running her own wholesale fashion agency. Being self-employed has enabled her to travel to support her husband’s career and share the experience of representing New Zealand in a diplomatic capacity. She has loved having the opportunity to spend time living in Malaysia and the United States, and is thankful to have been able to share the joys of travel with her family.

“These experiences broadened my ability to network and socialise in any environment with people of all cultures, and I believe it further developed my ability to build relationships,” explains Cathy. “I see this as one of my key strengths, and an important skill for achieving success in both my professional and personal life.”

Cathy enjoys the challenge of matching great people with great businesses. People management, particularly recruitment, as well as training and development of individuals and large teams, have been meaningful and satisfying areas of work throughout her career.

Outside of work Cathy and her family enjoy getting outdoors whether it be snow skiing, boating or just walking the Wellington waterfront. After spending so many years overseas they are now enjoying travelling closer to home and exploring everything New Zealand has to offer.
